Our Story
Hear No Evil was founded in 1978. Our original location was an old gas station on the corner of 17th and Market Street NE, converted into a small showroom and shop. Back then, Hear No Evil only sold car audio and security at a time when car audio was barely a business.
In 1988, our current location on Pine and Commercial was established as we ventured into the world of home audio and video. Since then, Hear No Evil has become one of Oregon’s leading specialists for performance audio/video as well as home automation and more. Far from the largest store around, we pride ourselves in providing outstanding service, upscale products and professional installation.
Our business has always been built on relationships with our customers, vendors, and family of employees. We keep our product lines focused and offer years of expert consultation and system design experience. We are proud to be small enough to keep it personal, but big enough to handle any size project.
The Hear No Evil Family

Having founded Hear No Evil in 1978, what I love most about it is the people—our customers, my crew, and all the great folks we work with behind the scenes. We’ve built something special here, and it’s not just about the products we sell—it’s about the experience, the relationships, and doing things the right way.
When I’m not at the shop, I’m spending time with family, hanging out with our pets, or out on two wheels. Motorcycles have always been a passion—off-road, dual sport, sport/track, and even some classic rides on the vintage hog to keep things interesting. I’m also into CrossFit and recently started learning guitar, which has been really enjoyable.
I listen to just about everything when it comes to music, but if I had to pick one band for life, it’d be Steely Dan. My guilty pleasure? Hostess snacks—just don’t tell my wife Alicia. And when I need a good laugh, Blazing Saddles is always a solid choice (even if I probably shouldn’t recommend it). If I could take off anywhere, it’d be Denmark as I have family roots there.
Right now, I’m really focused on growing Hear No Evil, especially with architectural lighting and design. It’s exciting to keep pushing forward and finding new ways to bring our customers the best.
At the end of the day, I just love what I do, the people I get to work with, and the opportunity to keep building something great.

Fast cars, loud stereos, and motorcycles are a few of my favorite things. If you’re about to sign a waiver, you’re probably about to do something pretty cool… and remember you can’t get hurt while you’re in the air. With over ten years at Hear No Evil and tons of experience using and designing the systems you desire, I will help you get the perfect solution for your needs.

As the General Manager at Hear No Evil, I oversee the home side of the business, making sure every project runs smoothly from start to finish. My day-to-day includes ordering equipment, scheduling, and coordinating installations, as well as helping our team problem-solve along the way. I also work directly with clients, providing consultations, system designs, and proposals, while supporting our other home system designers and sales team.
When I’m not at work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, going to concerts and sporting events, fishing, traveling, and discovering great food. Music is a big part of my life, and while I appreciate almost every genre, rock is my favorite. At home, I have a black Pug named Violet, who keeps life entertaining.
Every day at Hear No Evil brings something new, and I love being part of a team that takes pride in delivering high-quality systems and experiences to our clients.

I don’t have a formal title at Hear No Evil because I wear many hats—Lead Tech, Home Automation Programmer, IT, and Design Consultant. Every day brings something new, and I love the camaraderie and collaboration that make our team so great.
Outside of work, I’m all about adventure—camping, boating, and hitting up music festivals whenever I can. My go-to music genre is country, but I enjoy a wide variety of sounds. If I could hop on a plane right now, I’d head back to Greece to explore even more.
I’ve got plenty of quirks (just ask my coworkers), and I live by the motto: "I’ll try anything twice." When it comes to comfort food, nothing beats a good pot roast or chicken pot pie.
Whether I’m designing audio experiences, solving tech challenges, or planning my next adventure, I bring passion and personality to everything I do.

I have been with Hear No Evil for over five years and have worn many hats. After spending most of my day on the computer, I like to spend most of my nights on the computer, a true lover of technology. In my free time, I love spending time with my dogs, video games and any baked goods I can get my hands on.

I do retail sales mostly for car audio, but occasionally home gear as well. A typical day for me looks like opening up the store in the morning, and then talking with walk in/phone customers about how to improve the audio experience in their cars.
When I’m not at work, I enjoy spending time with my girlfriend and other friends/family. We like to have game nights and movie nights, and often have friends over for pizza nights – we cook fresh pizza in my girlfriend’s pizza oven.
I really like cars, and enjoy going to various car events and doing car things. I am also a photographer and have had the opportunity to take a lot of photos of cars to help sell them online. I added up how much all the cars I’ve taken pictures of over the years have sold for, and it’s over 1.5 million dollars. That’s kinda cool!

Standing tall at 6'4", I bring a big presence and an even bigger passion for tackling complex projects at Hear No Evil. I love the challenge of intricate installs, especially video walls and other high-tech setups that push the limits of creativity.
When I’m not immersed in wiring and fine-tuning systems, I enjoy the simple things—like long walks on the beach.

My name is Damon Jennings and I am a man of many passions including all things that go fast, the great outdoors and my Australian Shepherd "Nado". I am in my mid 50's and have ALWAYS been an audio lover. I love a good concert and all the energy and people and I really enjoy great car audio. My music taste is all over the board from Classic Rock, Old School Hip Hop and 80's Pop to new EDM and Country.
If you come visit our store you will usually find me wearing Dixxon Flannel as "It's My Bag Baby." Come see me and we will design a system for your home, car, truck or boat that is sure to exceed your expectations. When I'm not at work I'm hanging out with my friends having BBQs, going to play pool, listening to music or going to the gym. A hobby I have is I enjoy collecting a couple things shoes, hats, Lego cars, basketball and baseball cards. If I could travel anywhere in the world currently I would want to travel to Mexico to visit my family and just explore our town. My favorite go-to food would have to be tacos or enchiladas. A movie that I recommend to anyone is Gladiator or John Wick.

I am a dedicated low voltage technician with a knack for all things audio. With a keen ear for sound quality and a meticulous approach to installation. Whether setting up home theater systems or troubleshooting complex audio video issues, delivering top-notch results that enhance the experience for clients is my top goal.
Outside of work, I am a fitness enthusiast who enjoys working out and maintaining an active lifestyle.
A passionate NFL fan, proudly supporting the Las Vegas Raiders. Whether watching games at home or cheering from the stands, I embrace the excitement of the season that comes with being part of the Raider Nation. -

I am an installer at Hear No Evil. I grew up riding dirt bikes, and quads, and I’ve probably spent more time customizing my own truck than actually driving it. Now I get to do the same for others-minus the trial and error phase! I grew up in Astoria, but I’ve really enjoyed living in Salem with my girlfriend and my dog, River. Hope to see you soon!

When I’m not at work, you’ll usually find me out on the trails, getting my Subaru dirty with a group of fellow off-road Subaru enthusiasts. I love the adventure of exploring new places, and my two dogs, Iris and Wally, are always along for the ride.
One of my biggest bucket list goals is to race in the Oregon Trail and Olympus Stage Rally. Motorsports have always been a passion of mine, which makes working at Hear No Evil even more rewarding. My favorite thing about being here is the team—everyone genuinely loves their job and takes pride in taking care of the customer.
